“Ice cream is more fun with friends, but also with cones, sprinkles, candied nuts, hot honey-you get where we’re going.” – Food 52

I am branching out from my regular baking world to dive into the world of ice cream, and I am not complaining about it! I spent the last couple weeks trying out several recipes from the Ice Cream & Friends recipe book by Food 52, and its been a good couple weeks! This book is a compilation of recipes put together by the Food 52 editors. It’s titled Ice Cream & Friends, so that it can encompass all of ice cream’s great friends, like popsicles, snow cones, spooms (what?) and so many more.

To say I love this book is understatement! It’s so fun! Each recipe has a great paragraph at the top, saying where the recipe came from, great tips and just fun little comments! The recipes are separated into several categories, that include chocolate, nutty, fruity and several more. The recipes are well written and easy to follow.

I read through the book and picked out three recipes to try, S’mores Ice Cream, Baked Alaska, and Two Tone Popsicles. If you get this book for nothing else get it for the S’mores Ice Cream! It was so good! You have a marshmallow ice cream with a toasted s’mores crumble mixed in! Everything I tried was really great and I can’t wait to try the rest of these recipes this summer! Cause you know I will be!

I received this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.
